So I'm at home recovering from a second total hip replacement (the right side, this time, I had the left one done in May) and I ran across my collection of Studio Ghibli movies. Talk about your inspiration!

Watercolors and I never really got along, but I'd been inspired lately from seeing some other artists' work and wanted to try my hand at it again. I pulled out my old cotman set that i received as a gift over 25 years ago and went to work on this piece. I call it "Elise" because it reminded me of a song that came out way back then, too. :)
