PROJECT INFO

“Tarot Under Oath” is an artistic project taking on the major arcana of the tarot world and putting a new twist on the cards. This project is brought to you by author Russell J Moon and artist/author/curator Aunia Kahn. With their love for tarot they have chosen some of their favorite artists from around the world to bring their interpretations of the major arcana to the table. Tarot has been around for centuries, thousands of decks created, and too many artists to count have been mesmerize by the allure, symbolism and long standing history of tarot. These dedicated artists bring their work, and their oath of beautiful creativity to be displayed in an exhibition at Last Rites Gallery and a beautiful full color art book to be released in 2014.

Aunia Kahn & Russell J Moon are the authors of the Silver Era Tarot, the creators of the Lowbrow Tarot Project, Inspirations for Survivors Deck, and the forthcoming Muse Tarot. They are pleased to bring you this project!

INFORMATION

Mass Culture – MCMXX (1920’s)
International Group Art Exhibition.

An art exhibition focusing on an age in history where dramatic cultural, economic, social and political change became the new standard of life. The 1920’s became an introduction of flapper speak, big cities and skyscrapers, art deco styles art, jazz the collective soundtrack to life, gangsters and molls now infused with modern technological advances in automobiles, telephones and motion pictures. We bring you an art exhibition thats the bees-knees and touches on what the French called that time in history “annees folles” or the “crazy years” where history changed so dramatically that to revisit such and era with modern artists would bring a whole new spin to the era that changed the world and came roaring in without warning!!
